Biography:
Construction of an Anagama kiln in 1961. Member of the Japan Kogei Association in 1966. Awarded the Tõyõ Kaneshige prize (National living treasure) in 1981.
Declared National Living Treasure for his work on Bizen ceramic in 2004.
