Pierre de Pelleport (1773-1855) was a French general of the Empire, appointed peer of France under the Restoration and mayor of Bordeaux. He fought in all the campaigns of the Empire and was seriously wounded at Eylau in 1807. Appointed Brigadier General in 1813, he joined the Bourbons at the Restoration. He is shown in full General's dress, with his many decorations, including the Order of St Louis, the Legion of Honour and various.
His son, Charles de Pelleport-Burète (1827 - 1900) was a politician of the Gironde and mayor of Bordeaux from 1874 to 1876.
