"Peter Blake's surrealist spirit is unmistakably present, but with a touch of humor and irreverence, as evidenced by his sculpture-collages. His Generals series (2012), puppets with a lawn bowling ball for a head and a chest adorned with medals, each more ridiculous than the last (beer caps, exotic coins, cork discs.....), gently mocks the military establishment.
